About

A dedicated practitioner of Vipassana (insight) meditation, Roxanne Dault (she, her) has sat many long retreats in Asia and in the West, spending more than two years in silence in the last 15 years. She is a student of the Dharma for life and enjoys sitting long solitary retreats.

Roxanne has been involved with True North Insight since its beginning, where she is now a Guiding Teacher, teaching weekly sits and residential retreats. She teaches internationally in the USA and in France. She was invited by her teacher, Joseph Goldstein, to take part in the four-year Insight Meditation Society (IMS) Teacher Training, where she now teaches short and longer retreats. She is involved in different projects to share the Dharma in the West and teaches at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in a graduate program called Présence attentive.

Her teaching is influenced by indigenous spiritual practices, her many travels and her experience in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-mind approach aimed at relieving the symptoms of trauma. She speaks French, English and is learning her ancestors’ language, Anishinaabemowin

Roxanne wants to share her love for the Dharma so that we can all touch the freedom in every moment!
